Tab Forgac
Tab Forgac, MS, RDN, LDN, SNS is Vice President, Health and Nutrition Partnerships for National Dairy Council (NDC). In this role, she manages the relationships with key health and nutrition organizations including the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Feeding America.
Throughout her career with the National Dairy Council, Forgac has lead the development and implementation of many child nutrition-focused programs including classroom nutrition education and school nutrition programs as well as NDC’s in-school program, Fuel Up to Play 60.
Forgac joined DMI in 1977 and brings years of nutrition and dairy experience to bear on her program initiatives. Prior to joining DMI, she was an instructor in Public Health Nutrition at Case Western Reserve University, where she had previously earned a Master’s of Science degree in Public Health Nutrition. Forgac earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Foods and Nutrition at Notre Dame College.
Forgac is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and a School Nutrition Specialist. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the School Nutrition Association. She has been recognized as “Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year” and “Outstanding Dietitian of the Year”. Forgac has served in numerous leadership positions within the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (when it was still called the American Dietetic Association!) and its affiliates including President of the Illinois Dietetic Association and two terms as Delegate to Academy’s House of Delegates. She also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the School Nutrition Foundation.
A native of Ohio, she has two school-aged daughters who challenge her to practice what she preaches as well as balance life and work.
